Repairs Continue After Pipe Burst On A6

Written by on 12th January 2021

Severn Trent Water say repairs to burst pipe on the A6 near Market Harborough are now complete and work to re-instate the road is underway.

They were alerted to the problem yesterday, close to turn for Foxton, near the McDonald’s roundabout, but say no supplies were affected.

Temporary traffic lights remain in place until the work is complete.

A Severn Trent spokesperson said: “We’re sorry for any disruption caused by our essential work repairing an eight inch burst pipe on the A6.

“The pipe has now been fixed, and we’re now working to make sure the road is back to normal as quickly as possible. Again, we apologise for the inconvenience but it’s our priority to get the road open again as soon as we can.”
