Man Arrested After Police Car Rammed During Pursuit

A Police car was rammed during a 30-minute high-speed pursuit that began in Braybrooke and ended in Brampton Ash.
The male driver of a red Audi A3 eventually crashed and was detained with the help of a Police dog, following a foot chase through a field.
Northamptonshire Police say the pursuit began at 3.45pm on Tuesday, when the driver failed to stop for officers.
It went along the A6 towards Market Harborough, the A427 towards Corby and along a number of back-roads, before a Police car was rammed and the Audi crashed at the entrance to a field.
Police say no officers were hurt in the incident.
A man aged 44 from Desborough was arrested on suspicion of driving dangerously, driving otherwise in accordance with a licence, failing to stop after an accident and use a motor vehicle without third party insurance.
He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
