Village School Set For Major Upgrade

Major improvements are set to be made to Church Langton C of E Primary School.

Plans to build an extension, to replace an existing mobile classroom at the site on Stonton Road, and create a new office and storage area have been unveiled.

The work, costing £227,000, will be funded by the Learn Academies Trust, which the school is part of, after it was awarded over £1m from the government’s ‘Condition Improvement Fund.’

A planning application for the work has been lodged with Harborough District Council – it is expected to be considered within the next three months.
