Electrical Fault Caused Pub Fire

An electrical fault caused the major fire that tore through a Market Harborough pub.
Investigators from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service have determined that is what started the blaze at The Roebuck, off Rockingham Road, on Friday night.
It took over 30 firefighters nearly three hours to bring the fire under control, which left the building severely damaged, with large areas of the roof collapsing.
Meanwhile, a fundraising drive set-up to help the manager of the pub has smashed its £1,000 target in just two days.
It was launched after Andy Lapsley, who lived above the premises, lost all his belongings in the fire.
He and his family say they have been overwhelmed by the response and the large number of messages of support from people.
