Police Recruitment Launches

A major new recruitment drive to get more ‘Bobbies on the Beat’ is being launched today.
Leicestershire Police says it’s looking to attract graduates, non-graduates and those looking for a change of career into the service.
Over the next five years the force says it needs to take on nearly 600 officers – but is still waiting to hear how many of the 20,000 new posts recently announced by the Prime Minister will come to Leicestershire.
Chief Constable, Simon Cole, told HFM they like to recruit from the local area whenever possible:
