Would-Be Burglar Tries To Smash His Way Into Shop

Police are appealing for information after a would-be burglar tried to smash his way into a gift shop in Rothwell in the middle of the night.
A man threw a rock a number of times at the front window of Newmans of Rothwell, in Market Hill, at 2.20am yesterday.
It left the glass damaged, but he didn’t get in.

The man was with a woman at the time.
