Covid-19 Cases Drop By 20% In Harborough District

Cases of Coronavirus across the Harborough District have fallen by 20% in the past week, although the infection rate among young people is the highest in Leicestershire.

Although numbers are relatively small (19 cases in seven day) it means the rate per 100,000 people in the 17-21 age group is above the national average.

Across all age groups, latest figures show 200 people tested positive in the seven days to yesterday, with the overall infection rate in Harborough District at 238 per 100,000 thousand people – below the national average of 294 and the third lowest rate in Leicestershire.

Cases have dropped in all areas of the county.
