Warning After Barbecue Sets Fire To Grass

Firefighters are issuing a warning after a discarded disposable barbecue set fire to grass in Market Harborough.
They were called to Peter Callis Way, off Leicester Road, at 3.45pm yesterday to deal with the blaze, which was close to a small wooded area.

Firefighters say it could have easily spread due to the dry ground conditions, had a passer-by not alerted them.
Police, meanwhile, say whoever used the barbecue would have been breaching the current government lock-down rules as would have been gathering outside their homes.
