Plea To Get Stolen Dog Back Home For Christmas

A couple have been left devastated after their beloved pet dog was stolen in Kibworth Harcourt on Saturday night.

Betsy, a Chow Chow aged two-and-a half, was taken from the back garden of Kieran and Rachel Wade’s house in Barnards Way at around 8.50pm.

The thief or thieves cut a padlock on a gate to steal the dog, which the couple have had since she was six months old, after she was rescued when someone tried to smuggle her into the country illegally.

The dog, which is spayed and microchipped, had been let out minutes earlier after returning from a walk.

A reward is being offered for Betsy’s safe return.
