Plastic Free July
Written by HFM on 22nd July 2019
As part of ‘Plastic Free July’, a group of teenage volunteers is in the
Harborough District this week raising awareness of the issues of litter
in and around our waterways – and the lasting impact this has on the
environment.
The young people, all aged between fifteen and seventeen, are working
with the Canal and River Trust in Leicestershire, and are spreading
their #PlasticChallenge message in Kibworth this Monday and Tuesday –
then at St Dionysius Church in Market Harborough on Wednesday.
The visiting volunteers, from National Citizen Service Leicester Group
6, say everyone can do their bit to clean up our waterways.
