Market Harborough the most “liveable” place in England

Market Harborough is celebrating being at the top of a league table of
the most ‘liveable’ places in England.
Our number one status was judged on affordability, opportunity and
desirability – based on factors such as jobs, income, the performance of
local schools, burglary rates, the number of empty homes and life
expectancy.
The new report, written by a former Treasury economist Chris Walker for
‘Your Housing Group’, aims to “create a more real-world and accurate
picture of what affordability is, and where exactly more affordable
new-build housing is most urgently needed”.
Our impressive accolade hit the national headlines on Sunday when The
Observer newspaper published the findings. The article featured proud
Market Harborough residents explaining why they like their town.
