Paratrooper Turned Electrician Backs National Apprenticeship Week

A paratrooper from Great Glen who was forced to quit the army for health reasons says becoming an apprentice electrician has turned his life around.
Michael Parr, 28, was discharged from the 3rd Battalion Parachute Regiment after suffering hearing loss in one ear as a result of firing heavy weapons.
He became an apprentice at RK Electrical Mechanical Services in Desborough and during National Apprenticeship week, is encouraging others to do the same, when faced with having to make a career change.
Michael spoke to Hfm:
RK Electrical Mechanical Services is currently supporting seven apprentices across both the electrical and mechanical sides of the industry.
