Police say nobody was seriously injured after a crash on the A14 involving six cars.
It happened on the westbound carriageway between the Kelmarsh and Welford junction at around 5pm yesterday.
Firefighters from Desborough and Rothwell were sent to the scene and released a driver from the wreckage of one of the cars, as well as making the other vehicles involved safe.
Northamptonshire Police say the pile-up involved two Mercedes, a BMW 3 series, two Fords and a Citroen C4.
The carriageway was closed for three hours.
