New Gym Equipment For Harborough

Written by on 20th March 2019

It’s been announced that both Market Harborough and Lutterworth Leisure Centres will benefit from brand new, state-of-the-art, gym equipment.
It’s as part of the District Council’s ‘Healthy Harborough’ initiative – to create more opportunities for residents to enjoy sport and leisure activities across our area.
It says users of the gymnasia will benefit from a combination of cutting edge cardiovascular and resistance equipment – including modernised treadmills, exercise bikes, cross-trainers and resistance machinery.

The gym at Lutterworth Sports Centre will be closed from Saturday 30th March to Wednesday 3rd April. This is to allow for new state-of-the-art Technogym equipment to be installed by the new leisure operator of the centres, Everyone Active. In addition to the new equipment, the existing virtual spin class facilities will be replaced and a brand new virtual exercise facility in the centre’s studio will be introduced.

The gym at Market Harborough Leisure Centre will be closed from Saturday 30th March until Monday 1st April. From Tuesday 2nd April, a temporary gym will be introduced in the centre’s main studio. This will include a wide range of state-of-the-art Technogym equipment.

The closure will allow for a refurbishment of the gym area including replacing carpets, decorating and installing brand new Technogym equipment.

In addition to the improvements to the gym, virtual spin classes and virtual group exercise classes in the studio areas will also be introduced to the centre.

The centre’s gym will open again from Monday 15th April.
