Motorcyclist Airlifted To Hospital After Crash With Tractor

A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after a crash with a tractor towing a trailer on the A47 near Tugby yesterday evening.

The male rider was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham by the Air Ambulance following the collision just before 6pm.

Fire crews from Market Harborough and Oakham were also called the scene after reports the man was trapped.

Police have described his injuries as ‘non-life-threatening’ or life-changing.

The road was closed for over three hours while an investigation into the collision was carried out.

The driver of the tractor was not injured.
