Delay To Re-Opening Of Harborough Museum

There has been a delay in the re-opening of Harborough Museum.

It was set for today following the enforced shutdown for nearly six months because of the pandemic, but now won’t be until Friday, because of a delay in getting protective safety screens installed.

Councillor Richard Blunt, cabinet member for heritage, leisure and arts at Leicestershire County Council, said: “We’re delighted that we are now able to re-open our heritage sites and we are looking forward to welcoming visitors back to enjoy them.

“Our priority is to ensure that the attractions are safe for visitors and staff. What remains the same is that we want people to come along and have an enjoyable time with us – as well as staying safe.”

You will need to book your visit in advance on-line when the venue at the Symington Building does re-open, as visitors will not just be able to walk in.
