Man Admits Series of Co-op Shop Thefts Across Harborough

A man has admitted a series of shop thefts from Co-op convenience stores across Harborough.
Shaun Williams, 31, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to ten theft charges involving more than £650 worth of goods.
Williams admitted stealing washing and meat products worth £67.20 from the Co-op on Leicester Road in Market Harborough on March 8th.
The case forms part of an ongoing Leicestershire Police operation targeting shoplifters.
The other thefts took place at shops in Leicester, Fleckney and Scraptoft.

Williams also pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault by beating relating to an alleged incident in Leicester on July 25th.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear back at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on September 9th.
