Oliver Bonas Plans New Market Harborough Store

Written by on 2nd November 2026

Fashion and homeware retailer Oliver Bonas is planning to open a new store in Market Harborough.

The chain has applied for planning permission to install a new shopfront at the former TG Jones premises on the High Street, which has been vacant since September.

The TG Jones store closed in September

Oliver Bonas already has more than 90 stores across the UK, and the proposed opening would be its first in Leicestershire, creating a number of  jobs.

In a document submitted with the planning application, the company says the new shopfront will “sit very comfortably with other shopfronts in the High Street”.

It adds that the use of “high quality materials and finish”, together with traditional styling and detailing, will be “sympathetic to the conservation area”.

Harborough District Council will consider the application.
