Fire crews tackle large field fire near Harborough village

Fire crews are tackling a large field fire near Frolesworth.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said four crews are currently at the scene near Sharnford Tractors, off Broughton Road, outside the village.

Crews from Hinckley, Southern, Wigston and Central Fire Stations are attending, along with the service’s Water Carrier from Coalville Fire Station.

Nearby residents are being advised to close windows and doors to avoid smoke inhalation while firefighters deal with the incident.
