Man left with broken rib after assault in Little Bowden park

A man was left with a broken rib after being assaulted while walking his dog in a park in Little Bowden.
Leicestershire Police is appealing for witnesses after the incident at Little Bowden Recreation Ground, Scotland Road, on Friday July 10th.
The victim was walking his dog at around 7.50pm when he became involved in a verbal altercation with another dog walker.
Police said the victim was then pushed to the ground and kicked, leaving him with a broken rib.
The suspect has been described as a white man in his 60s, around 5ft 6ins tall and of medium build.
He had strawberry blonde hair which was greying and was wearing a blue t-shirt, green shorts and cream trainers.
He was walking a chocolate brown Labrador at the time.
A number of people were in the park at the time and may have witnessed what happened.

A man officers wanted to speak to in connection with the incident has now been identified after a photo was released.
