Fabulous Support For Christmas Toy Appeal
Written by HFM News on 2nd December 2020
Over 500 brand new toys and gifts have been donated to the Hfm-backed Toys On The Table appeal in just two weeks.
Listeners have been dropping them off at Harborough Market, the collection point this year, with organisers ‘overwhelmed’ by the response.
Hfm’s Pat Stones & Phil King (Leader of Harborough District Council) with the toys donated so farThe appeal aims to ensure every disadvantaged child in Leicestershire receives at least one present to open on Christmas Day, when they otherwise would not.
There are already more referrals for help compared with this time last year, with the pandemic impacting on the finances of more and more families.
Toys on The Table and Hfm wish to thank all who have donated so far and encourage people to continue to do so.
We are also very grateful to Harborough District Council and Harborough Market for stepping in to act as the drop-off point this year.
You can drop toys off (to suit a baby up to a teenager aged 16) at Harborough Market, Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 3pm until December 24th.
