Drive-In Events Venue To Open In Market Harborough

A purpose-built drive-in venue is to open Market Harborough Showground, so Covid-secure events can take place when government restrictions allow.
It will include a large screen and stage, for movie, music and comedy events, along with corporate functions and even wedding receptions.
Fleckney Events, who hosted successful drive-in cinemas at the site last year, are behind the new venture, believed to be the first permanent venue of its kind in the country.
A substantial amount of money is being invested into the project, with set-up work due to begin in May.
Once open, the venue will have its own entrance, off the B6047 Harborough Road, near Harborough Innovation Centre.
It’s planned drive-in events will continue, even after Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
