Drains To Be Cleaned Following Flooding
Written by HFM News on 9th February 2021
Drains are to be cleaned on Scotland Road in Little Bowden, after residents called on highway bosses to act following recent flooding.
The River Jordan, which runs next to the road, has burst its banks during heavy rainfall twice in the past two months, and it’s thought some blocked drains have made the issue worse.
Scotland Road will be shut between Braybrooke Road and Rectory Lane between 9am and 3pm next Tuesday and Wednesday, so Leicestershire County Council can carry out the work.
