The car park at East Carlton Country Park has been closed to discourage people who are not local from travelling there.
Corby Borough Council says it has taken the action following a drastic rise in positive cases in the Borough, which has trebled since Christmas.
The Café and toilets are the site have also been closed.
Leader of Corby Borough Council, Cllr Tom Beattie, said: “Positive Covid-19 cases in Corby have trebled since Christmas and cases in the over 60s have risen by over 100% in the last week. This is putting extreme pressure on our hospitals and we must act now to help stop the virus spreading further.
“We have therefore made the decision to shut vehicle access to our parks to discourage people from travelling to these areas in their vehicles during lockdown rather than using green spaces closer to home.
“We need to be doing everything we can to reduce these shocking numbers in Corby and ensuring that we are doing everything to keep our staff and community safe. So please let’s stand together by standing apart.
