Council To Have More Control Over Housing Developments
Written by HFM News on 12th September 2018
Harborough Council has reached a major milestone so it can have more control over development locally.
New figures show the authority has achieved what’s known as a ‘five year housing supply.’
For the past few years some developers refused permission to build locally by the Council have then been granted the permission by the Government on appeal, because the figure had not been reached.
The latest data shows a supply of 6.94 years, with planning permissions expected to provide around 3,875 homes over the next 5 years, with a further 1,865 through to 2031.
