Rewilding Harborough Under Fire

A flagship Harborough District Council scheme to restore nature on 130 acres of land it purchased to the north of Market Harborough and Great Bowden is coming in for criticism from opposition Councillors.

They claim the Lib-Dem led coalition’s ‘Rewilding Harborough’ project will cost £3.3 million and has no plan, no budget clarity, and no idea how it will actually work.

After two years and millions spent, they say the only thing residents can point to is one ceremonial tree-planting planned for December 19th.
