Warning of Heavy Rain Due to Storm Claudia

As Storm Claudia sweeps across South Leicestershire and North Northamptonshire through Friday and early Saturday (14th & 15th November 2025) both Harborough Police and the District Council have issued safety advice to residents and drivers.
An Amber Warning of heavy rain issued by the Met Office means flooding and disruption are likely in some parts of our region – with the council advising householders and businesses in flood prone areas to move valuables to upper floors, and to turn off the electricity supply if your property begins to flood.
Police are advising motorists who need to travel to make sure lights are switched on in poor visibility, and not to drive through floodwater – otherwise to postpone journeys until conditions improve.
