Young Woman Attacked During Town Centre Disorder

A young woman was attacked by a man during disorder in Market Harborough on Saturday night.
The 18-year-old was punched in the face after he grabbed her hair and pushed her to the floor.
It happened at around 10.30pm when trouble flared in a queue outside the Sugar Loaf on the High Street, when a group tried to push in.
The victim suffered cuts to her face and a swollen lip in the assault, but did not require hospital treatment.
Police are studying CCTV as part of the investigation into the assault and are appealing for witnesses.
- A man aged 21 was arrested on suspicion of assaulting another man during the same incident – he has been bailed pending further enquiries.
