Tributes are being paid to Alex Blackwell, the former Deputy Editor of the Harborough Mail, who has died aged 40.
Alex, who lived in Kibworth, worked for the newspaper for eleven years, starting as a trainee reporter, before leaving in 2015.
He was well known for his personable approach and involvement in many community events and was a regular guest on Hfm, talking about the week’s headlines.
Hfm’s News Editor Nick Shaw said: “Alex was a fantastic journalist who was passionate about Harborough.
“He was very supportive when Hfm launched in 2007 and our paths often crossed when covering stories in and around the town.
“My thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.”
