Virtual Tourism Summit Taking Place Today

A virtual tourism summit involving firms from across the Harborough District is taking place today.
It is aimed at sharing ideas on how to overcome the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic, which has had a severe impact on the tourism and hospitality sector.
Harborough District Council has organised the talks as it also looks at what support it can provide to businesses.
Council Leader, Cllr Phil King, said: “This has been a very challenging year for many businesses, especially those in the tourism industry. We want to work with businesses to develop plans to rebuild this crucial sector, which has a huge impact on the local economy and provides many local jobs. This is a great opportunity to be involved in shaping the future of tourism in Harborough district.”
