Two Arrests After Mother & Baby Twins Hurt In Crash

Two men have been arrested after a crash between Lutterworth and Dunton Bassett this morning left a mother and twin baby boys, aged seven months, with minor injuries.

They were in a car that was involved in collision with another on the A426 Leicester Road just after 9am – one of the vehicles overturned.

Police say the male occupants of the other vehicle fled the scene before emergency services arrived.

The men are being questioned on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to report an accident.

The female driver and her children were taken to hospital by ambulance, but have since been discharged.
