3 Charged With Illegal Sheep Butchery

Three men have been charged over a series of illegal sheep butchery offences across Northamptonshire.
Robert Iordan, 23, Florin Nutu, 35 and Voirel Manu, 38, all from Birmingham, are accused of conspiracy to steal in relation to the slaughter and illegal butchery of sheep and lambs between June 22nd and October 7th this year.
Two of the men were arrested in the early hours of Monday after ten sheep were killed in a field off the A14 near Welford – the other last night at an address in Birmingham.
There have been 12 incidents of illegal sheep butchery across Northamptonshire this year, including incidents in Kelmarsh and Clipston.
The men are due at Northampton Magistrates Court tomorrow.
