Talented Young Boxer Wins At National Championships

A talented young boxer from Market Harborough is celebrating booking his place in the quarter finals of the England Boxing National Schools Championships.

12-year-old Jimmy McCann progressed to the next stage of top competition after winning his bout yesterday with a great performance in the ring.

Jimmy’s young brother Billy, 11, also competed in the competition and the Foxton Primary School pupil just missed out on qualifying, after losing his closely-fought match.

Jimmy will now compete in the next round of the contest next weekend.

The boys’ Dad James says he is ‘super proud’ of his sons.
