Police Alerted After ‘Loud Bangs’

Police were alerted after loud bangs were heard in Market Harborough last night.

The Leicestershire force received calls from concerned residents just before 9.45pm, with the noise also spooking animals.

The bangs were described as sounding like gunshots by some and were caused by someone letting off fireworks at the Symington’s Recreation Ground, which is illegal at this time of year.
