Sainsbury’s convenience store plans move forward in Little Bowden

Plans for a new Sainsbury’s convenience store in Little Bowden are moving forward.
The retailer has applied for permission to install signage and sell alcohol from the proposed Sainsbury’s Local at the Davidsons Homes development off Kettering Road.

The store is planned for within a new local centre
The store will occupy a 4,458-square-foot unit within a planned local centre and would be the first shop to open on the estate.
Planning permission for the local centre buildings is still required, with a coffee shop also planned as part of the development.
There is no indication yet when construction work will start or when the new Sainsbury’s store will open.
The proposal follows the opening of a Sainsbury’s outlet on the Wellington Place estate in Market Harborough at the end of last year.
