Proposed modernisation of St Dionysius Church

Written by on 28th February 2020

Ambitious plans to modernise the interior of a Grade One listed church in Market Harborough will be on display there this Saturday (29th February).

The proposed scheme to make St Dionysius in the town centre “more accessible to everyone” includes the removal of the rest of its old pews, a new kitchen and new toilets, alongside upgraded heating and lighting.

As the ‘re-ordering’ of the 13th Century building is now expected to cost around one and a half million pounds, representations from the public are being sought about the revamp before it goes ahead.
