Plea For People To Work From Home If They Can

Written by on 29th January 2021

Business bosses across Harborough are being urged to allow people to work from home to reduce the spread of Coronavirus.

The infection rate in the District has fallen sharply in recent weeks, but the decrease has started to slow down and plateau, despite the national lockdown.

It’s thought more people are travelling to offices during the current lockdown, compared with the first one last year.

Mike Sandys, Leicestershire’s Director of Public Health, spoke to Hfm:

Latest figures show 240 have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Harborough District in the seven days to yesterday – 32 less than the previous seven days.

The infection rate per 100,000 people is 296.4 – the national average is 346.1 per 100,000 people.
