Over 100 Arrests As Drink/Drug Drive Campaign Continues

Over 100 people have been arrested across Leicestershire and Northamptonshire during the first fortnight of a festive drink and drug drive campaign.
58 drivers have failed roadside breath and drugs tests in Leicestershire, with two arrests on the A6 in Kibworth, one in Fleckney and another on the B6047 near Shangton.
In Northamptonshire, 48 arrests have been made since December 1st.
Several arrests have been made at the scene of collisions and police forces in both counties have expressed disappointment at the figures, saying it shows some people continue to ignore messages about the dangers of drink and drug driving.
