80s Spectacular Set To Make History at Coplow Centre

Written by on 20th October 2026

The Coplow Centre in Billesdon is preparing to host the biggest show in its history, with an 1980s music spectacular featuring tribute acts, a professional band and the BBC’s Legs & Co dancers.

‘80s Mania’ takes place on October 31st, bringing two hours of non-stop music to the venue as part of the new ‘Live at the Coplow Centre’ programme.

The production will feature an expanded stage, new lighting effects and a special Halloween-themed set extending from the reception area into the main hall.

Almost £100,000 has been invested in new sound and lighting equipment at the venue.

John Taberer, the venue’s volunteer head of sound and lighting, spoke to HFM’s Nick Shaw:

The investment follows the success of the Bootleg Beatles’ performances at the venue in January, which prompted organisers to plan another major show.

Volunteers are now working behind the scenes to prepare for the event, with organisers saying only a few tickets remain.

Audience members are encouraged to embrace the 1980s theme, with fluorescent clothing, glow sticks and band-themed T-shirts suggested. Halloween costumes are also welcome.
