‘No Serious Injuries’ After Crash

Police say no-one was seriously injured after a crash involving two cars near Wistow this morning.

Emergency services were called to Leicester Road just before 8.40am.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service sent two appliances to the scene and say occupants had got out of both vehicles when crews arrived.

A spokesperson added: “Those involved were assessed on the scene by the Fire Service. They safely self-extricated/walked from the vehicles and self-presented at Leicester Royal Infirmary with minor injuries.”

The road was closed between the Kibworth Road/Kilby Road and Station Road junctions while the incident was dealt with and the vehicles recovered.
