New Star Rating System For Animal Businesses
Written by HFM News on 31st August 2018
A one-to-five star rating system is being introduced for local businesses associated with the sale and care of animals.
It’s part of new regulations aimed at protecting the welfare of animals and providing a more informed choice for owners and customers.
They’ll apply to firms and individuals involved in dog and cat boarding, dog breeding, the selling of animals as pets and the hiring out of horses for riding or for riding lessons,
Anyone involved in the keeping or training of animals for exhibition also need to register with Harborough Council under the scheme.
