New Riverside Apartments Complete in Market Harborough

Written by on 28th October 2026

More than 80 new apartments have been created as part of a multi-million-pound redevelopment of a long-derelict site in Market Harborough.

Building work is now complete at the former Harborough Rubber Company site, where the historic former flour mill has also been restored and converted into flats.

The development, named Millstone Court, occupies land at the corner of St Mary’s Road and Kettering Road that had been derelict for decades.

Leicester-based developer Mitchian Group began work on the scheme in October 2024 and the development comprises one and two-bedroom apartments across three buildings, beside the River Welland.

The buildings also feature signage recalling the site’s industrial heritage, while the name Millstone Court pays tribute to its history.

The development has been designed specifically for the rental market, with options for furnished or unfurnished apartments.

Some feature riverfront balconies, while residents also have access to a landscaped rooftop terrace.

Simon Whelband, leader of Harborough District Council, has toured the completed development and told HFM he was impressed:

The historic former flour mill has also been restored and converted into flats.

All the apartments are being offered for rent through Nara Living.

Facilities include a dedicated property manager on site five days a week, an on-site maintenance team and pet-friendly accommodation.
