New Rating System For Local Animal Businesses
Written by HFM News on 1st October 2018
A one to five star rating system has come into force today for local businesses associated with the sale and care of animals.
It’s part of new regulations aimed at protecting the welfare of animals and providing a more informed choice for owners and customers.
They apply to firms and individuals involved in dog and cat boarding, dog breeding, the selling of animals as pets and the hiring out of horses for riding or for riding lessons.
Anyone involved in the keeping or training of animals for exhibition also need to register with Harborough Council under the scheme.
