Mystery Surrounds How Cow Made Its Way Into Market Harborough Tennis Club

Mystery surrounds how a cow made its way into Market Harborough Tennis Club in Great Bowden overnight.

Perplexed passers-by raised the alarm after spotting the animal wandering around the courts early this morning and unable to get out.

It is unclear how the cow got into the club off Station Road, as a key-code is needed to access the gate and it’s quite a way from the field it is kept in.

CCTV footage is now being studied in a bid to find out.

The farmer, club officials, members of the parish council, police officers and others helped coax the cow off the courts and into a cattle trailer, so it could be safety returned to its field.
