Outpouring Of Support For Harborough Tanning Shop Owner

There has been an outpouring of support for the owner of a Market Harborough tanning shop who lost an appeal to keep pictures of people sunbathing on the front of his shop.

In just a few days over 500 people have signed an on-line petition, saying they see nothing wrong with the images, including a woman sunbathing in a bikini.

Jim Cole, owner of Malibu Tanning Lounge on Coventry Road, had challenged a ruling by Harborough District Council that the images adversely affected the character and appearance of the area, but a planning inspector dismissed his appeal.
