Mobile Coronavirus Testing Unit Opens In Market Harborough

A mobile Coronavirus Testing Unit has opened in Market Harborough town centre.
Anyone aged over five who has symptoms of Covid-19 is eligible for a test, although essential workers will be given priority.
Appointments must be booked in advance on-line, with people given a slot for a drive-through test.

It is being run by the Army in the Commons Car Park off Coventry Road until Friday, between 11am and 4pm.

Cllr Amanda Nunn, Harborough District Council’s health and well-being Cabinet lead, said: “I would encourage anyone who is exhibiting coronavirus symptoms, particularly key workers, to book an appointment and get tested. I am delighted that we are able to work with the NHS to help provide this testing facility in the local area.”
