Milestone In Harborough’s Covid-19 Vaccinations

Nearly all those aged 80 and over registered with Market Harborough and Husbands Bosworth Medical Centres and have now had at least one Coronavirus vaccination.

A further 1,140 people had the jab on Friday and Saturday, meaning around 4,000 have now received it, including care home residents.

Work is also continuing to give housebound patients the jab.

The next phase of the roll-out will see people in the older part of the 70-plus age group, and those deemed extremely vulnerable, vaccinated this Friday, Saturday and next Monday at Market Harborough Medical Centre.

Patients will be contacted by phone or text this week to invite them for the jab.

Meanwhile, vaccinations are continuing to be given in Kibworth, for patients registered with the South Leicestershire Medical Practice, and at the  Feilding Palmer Hospital in Lutterworth, after a new vaccination hub opened there last week.
