Market Harborough’s In-Bloom Team Wins Gold

Market Harborough has won a Gold award at this year’s East Midlands In Bloom competition.
The town came second overall in the Large Town category, beaten to the top spot by Boston in Lincolnshire, by just a single point.
Harborough In Bloom were handed extra awards for the floral displays in Welland Park, judged as the best of any park in the region, and for having the ‘least littered environment’ of all the towns that entered the contest.
The Market Harborough C of E Academy won a gold in the Schools section of the competition and for having the best Wildlife Garden.
Meanwhile, Desborough won a silver award after entering the small town category for the second year and Lubenham In Bloom was handed a Silver Gilt award for its entry in the Best Village competition for the first year.
