‘Lives At Risk’ Warning After Parked Cars Block Fire Crews

Firefighters are warning lives are being put at risk by bad parking, after appliances from Market Harborough and Desborough were unable to get down streets.

Luckily both weren’t on emergency calls at the time, during the separate incidents over the past few days, although if they were, would have lost vital minutes in getting to the scene.

The incident in Market Harborough happened on Logan Street, the other in Castle Hill, Rothwell, while crews were carrying out Community Safety work.
