Go-Ahead Set For Demolition Of Cottage Hospital

Written by on 19th September 2018

The go-ahead could be given next week to demolish the former Cottage Hospital in Market Harborough, to make-way for a 70-bedroom care home.

Planning Officers are recommending councilors grant planning permission for the development on the Coventry Road site.

The proposal by Sterling Rose Care retains the World War One Memorial and Portico in situ though, as it’s a protected monument.

The firm bought the site off the NHS earlier this year for £1.35m, after the hospital closed last year.
